OUR PASTOR

Pastor Eleanor Atkinson Priester is the Pastor of In The Beauty of Holiness Ministries, Inc., located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ministry was established in August 2021, birthed out of Unity, The Way of Holiness Christian Church in Charlotte, NC—founded in 1989 by her mother and mentor, the Late Overseer Florance Rodgers McKoy.

Pastor Priester was born in New York, NY, and raised in Charlotte, NC. At the tender age of seven, she received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Raised in a God-fearing home where her mother and pastor kept her anchored in the Word, Jesus Christ remained the center of her daily life. She is the wife of Minister of Music Joseph N. Priester, the mother of four, and the proud grandmother of five.

Called into ministry at the age of 21, Pastor Priester has faithfully served in many leadership capacities over the years. These include:

She also served as Director of the church’s Child Development Center for 13 years.

Pastor Priester is a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a Minor in Theology from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC.

She is wholeheartedly dedicated to building God’s Kingdom and living by example. Her life and ministry boldly proclaim that Jesus Saves. She encourages everyone she meets to live up to their fullest potential and to walk in holiness—representing Jesus Christ in character, word, and deed. Her mission is to let her light shine in the beauty of holiness.

Pastor Priester, alongside her sister Minister April Hunt, their husbands—Minister Joseph Priester and Minister Maurice Hunt—her children, grandchildren, and the entire church family, are committed to continuing Overseer McKoy’s legacy: A legacy of soul-winning, love, holiness, empowerment, entrepreneurship, Christian education for children, and the building of God’s Kingdom.

Overseer’s legacy will forever be embedded in the hearts and minds of all who knew her, loved her, and whose lives were touched by her ministry.

OUR MISSION

We have been commissioned to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world—to win the lost, to love all people, and to be a light to the hurting. We are called to preach and teach the uncompromised Word of God, ministering deliverance, healing, restoration, and hope.

We are committed to teaching people how to apply biblical principles to every area of their lives, walking in the way of holiness. We are called to serve, preach, teach, give, praise, and worship—in the beauty of holiness.

WE BELIEVE

Holiness is the absolute moral purity of God’s character. It is beautiful because it came from God to man through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16). The Holy Spirit brings beauty to the soul and life of all who accept Him as Lord and Savior. His beauty is to be reflected in all His children. The beauty of Jesus is to be seen through us so that His light may shine upon the earth (Matthew 5:16). We are called to live holy lives and to honor God in every area of our lives (1 Peter 1:16). Everything we do in ministry is to be done in the beauty of holiness, in the light of Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE

We Believe in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for eternal life—His birth, life, and death; His crucifixion and the shedding of His blood for the remission of sin; and the power of His resurrection, when God raised Jesus from the dead (Matthew 26:28, 1 John 1:7, Ephesians 1:7).

We Believe salvation is God’s gift to mankind—received by confessing our sins, believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and accepting Him as Lord (Romans 10:9, Romans 3:24, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9).

WE BELIEVE

We Believe in water baptism (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Matthew 3:13–17).

We Believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4).

We Believe in the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, given through the Holy Spirit. It is truth, unfailing, and contains the answer to every problem of man. The Bible is our perfect guide in all of life’s affairs (John 10:30, John 14:26, Philippians 2:5–7, 2 Timothy 3:16–17).
